A.C.T. IX
This is a ‘recreated’ post written on 15 August 2024. I recently went disc golfing with an old friend, my rival, JumboC. We discussed many of the old times playing in the Amateur Challenge Tournament (ACT) and I had nothing on here to reference as they were all on Facebook. This post will be a placeholder where I’ll put in the deteriorated pictures I’ve downloaded from there, until a time when I’ll add context about the day.
[Approximately] 1 June 2013
This tournament was the ACT’s ninth, but the third in which we participated.
I always like the look of everyone sitting on the fence during the players’ meeting.
And as it turned out, I lost by eight on the day - over two rounds. I didn’t know it at the time, but JumboC’s reign of terror would be over, and I would get the best of him in the five years to come.
JumboC appears to be presented with some accolade, but what was it for? He and the tournament runners were friendly. He is friends with everyone.
