#HarpoonStPats

Our first festival at Harpoon Brewery…

The Tour…

The tour guide was an amazing interesting guy. Apparently, Harpoon is ‘employee owned’ and he took great pride in that fact. The nice thing about signing up for the tour was that it temporarily transported you from chaotic revelry behind the curtain, and it is glorious.

I didn’t like all of the beers that they force-fed to us. Try as they might, they are never going to make West Coast IPAs popular.

Thumbs up.

The Music…

I live for the music, the beer is just a bonus. I know all the songs, every one of them. It was great, once again, to listen to Dicey Riley (Northampton, MA), [not to be confused with the other Dicey Riley bands] preform. They are a band we had seen many time before and they were as good as ever.

I didn’t take any good photographs of Colum Cille, Cape Cod's Premier Pipe and Drum Band, who also performed [for the 15th consecutive year], but video is out there from the same night.

Shamrock Splash

What is this nonsense on Revere Beach? Harpoon sponsored a ‘cold plunge’ for the Save the Harbor / Save the Bay foundation. Since I’m writing this line eight years after the fact, I know that this event was small by current standards, the location would also be moved to a beach in South Boston for subsequent years.
