Jimmy Dore - Northampton (2023)
Note, this was written in August 2024 to recreate a post which was lost. Old computer(s), Google Drive, Facebook, etc. were all searched for context, but not much was able to be recovered. We will try to add some details, but as our memories have faded, this may well be all that we have left of that moment in time.
Coley came with me to see on my forth time seeing Jimmy Dore.
The taking of pictures is frowned upon inside if not out-rightly banned, but I snuck a few in for posterity [of course, I took no audio nor video].
I also wore my ‘yellow vest’ merch that I had bought in Philadelphia… and there was one other audience member who had one on as well. After the show this caused some confusion.
Northampton is tucked away in Western Massachusetts. I had been there a few times on day-trips while I was in High School because I sometimes hung out with an ‘alternative’ crowd.
We chose a parking lot on the edge of downtown which allowed us to walk along a short paved path before we emerged in the The town hasn’t changed a bit, but the beer has! We had a few pre-game pints at the downtown Northampton Brewery. I could never have imagined someone would invent the New England Style IPA. Praise God.
