Harpoon St. Pat’s Fest Boston (2017)
[Note: this is an anniversary reposting of this occasion, and it is lacking lacking in context.]
#HarpoonStPats
I went down to Boston, alone, for Harpoon’s annual Irish festival on Sunday 5 March 2017.
The Music…
Kier Byrnes & Friends were playing when the brewery opened up for the early admission. I happened to catch the guy as he was on the way out and he offered me a CD. Thank you my friend.
And once again, Dicey Riley (Northampton, MA) preformed a great set.
I drank a few beers, and I made some new friends. It was a wild time.
The Walk…
Of course I had planned on not using a car, and it knew from experience that it was best to avoid even being in one, out of fear of a bad Uber rating. But the walk was rough.
I was dropped off by the brewery shuttle near South Station and it should’ve been an easy ‘one-turn’ walk back to the Club Quarters Hotel [red dots added]. I made the wrong turn onto High Street, and after a call to Coley, she advised me to google the walking directions [blue dots].
RED = The walk from South Station back to the hotel. [5 minutes]
BLUE = The walk to the hotel after leaving South Station and an hour of nonsense ending up near the Old State House.
Shamrock Splash

Harpoon sponsors a fundraising run into the water called the Shamrock Splash. Nope.
