Hawk Ridge, III
Nicole and I definitely made a prior ‘mysterious visit’ at which time we didn’t even park; ‘The lot’ was overdone so we turned around and went elsewhere.

What a difference a day makes… this wonderful visit was on a Thursday; Saturdays and Sundays here suck are not pleasant.
Since our visit was mid-week, we arrived an half-hour after opening and parked in the 12th available spot… as we chose the ‘overflow lot’ [there are ten native spots which were full]. We didn’t park in the shade, and later on that would prove fruitful. It was a choise begot upon entrance and one we I mistook. Eventually I’ll learn this life’s lesson.
The ‘white tent’ that we had seen before was replaced with a permanent structural pavilion.
This was the first time that we sat on their deck, off to the right in the shade. Interestingly, the hawk sculpture that can be seen in the yard is a work done by [we believe] Torrington’s Ray White. He is known for his Eagles Watching Over You project.
Now, as for our visit, the only ‘problem’ with this type of establishment is that it draws in a specific type of customer: groups, usually large ones. You will learn so many other’s personal stories that you didn’t expect to know.
The atmosphere is very nice; the view overlooks a sloping ‘butterfly’ field.
We brought charcuterie [I originally typed in “charcutery” and ‘spell check’ had no idea what I meant and offered no reasonably alternative, but that being said, Coley may or may not believe I’m smarter than a computer] components, i.e., crackers; pepperoni; cheddar cheese; port wine cheese spread; pretzels. I personally do not like pretzels all that much and did not have any.
This embedded YouTube video was from 8 April 2024 while Coley and I were in the path of the totality of the solar eclipse at Niagara Falls, CA, see our post Great North American Eclipse. These silly ladies experienced nothing to be sure; I’m only including it as I’m trying to add context to the environment.

We also visited one more winery 'on the way out,' so to say; see Hopkins vineyard, III.
