People's State Forest
A simple 1.5 mile loop to view the Farmington River Valley from the overlooks.
The path here is the easiest way for a family to see the two scenic overlooks or get to the State Forest Letterbox #8. Note, the trailhead parking can accommodate a few cars with lots more parking just beyond, but it requires driving on dirt/broken-gravel for a half-mile where two cars may have issue passing. The path follows part of the Jessie Gerard Trail [Blaze: Blue & Yellow] and the return is via two forest roads; Warner Road and Greenwoods Road. Note, there is a fairly steep portion directly after the second overlook, and some may with to return the way up.
