A.C.T. XV
This is a ‘recreated’ post written on 16 August 2024. I recently went disc golfing with an old friend, my rival, JumboC. We discussed many of the old times playing in the Amateur Challenge Tournament (ACT) and I had nothing on here to reference as they were all on Facebook. This post will be a placeholder where I’ll put in the deteriorated pictures I’ve downloaded from there, until a time when I’ll add context about the day.

This tournament was the ACT’s fifteenth, but the ninth, and final, in which we participated.
…
I don’t have many pictures of the first round, but I seem to taken out my 360° camera for the second as I see the wide-angle and little-world photos in the galley below. I can’t remember what the ‘golden ticket’ was.
The next image of the score cards was taken when we arrived and were placed into our initial groups. I shot 73 in the first round, three behind JumboC, but still only one person from being paired in his group for the second round. That was too bad, it would have been nice to close it out with him. This happened the previor year as well i believe and it worked to my advantage again. I threw five better than him in the second round to win by two overall. Wow, a huge victory!
Chi in Green; JumboC in Red
I was keeping detailed notes on my game.
Recreational tees squared in red
Unbeknownst to us at the time, this would be our final disc golf tournament; the pandemic happened and then they apparently quit altogether. Anyway, it ended for us where it all started… in the middle of the pack in the Recreational division. I had a good run through all of these years, and it was a lot of fun.
Two-Day Combined Scores for Recreational Players
…JumboC is not going to like seeing that final graph. I was in the ‘top half’ while he was not.
Au revoir
