Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day (2017)

“The Irish American Home Society believes that it can help newcomers to the United States understand and appreciate American life, and that it can also help its members preserve and appreciate their heritage.”
Not soon after this event, I applied for membership into the Irish American Home Society in Glastonbury, was accepted, paid my dues, was told not to visit for a year because of the covid pandemic, was subsequently charged two-years dues, had a disagreement with their Facebook profile manager over their inappropriate posts, and withdrew my membership. Oh well, that could a story for another time.
