Suffield Academy Alumni Soccer (2018) (Copy)
Note: this was written in August 2024 to recreate a post which was lost. All of my old computers, Google Drive, Facebook, etc. were all searched for context, but only what was shown below was able to be recovered. I will try to add some details, but as my memories have faded, this may well be all that I have left of that moment in time.

The 2017 Suffield Academy Alumni Sports Day
I was blessed to be able to take my older son to see the school grounds for the first time. We toured the campus and watched some of the soccer and water polo being games being played.
We were pictured standing under the iconic bell. The school still has the tradition, I believe, of ringing it after an athletic victory. I heard that ring quite a bit while I was there!
The first picture in the galley below is not the current field, it was the one my team played on in 1991. And it looked like the lads could’ve used me, there were down 4-1 at the half! We walked around a little. I wanted to see the pool I almost drowned in during a winter-festival game involving a greased watermelon… and as a bonus we got to see a little bit of a water-polo game coached by the coach, the man, the myth, the legend, Andy Lowe [he was my varsity soccer coach!].
We stayed a little longer afterwards and enjoyed the catered lunch with the boys down behind what used to be Ebrahim Adib-Samii’s [R.I.P.] residence. It was a wonderful day.
I’m very proud of this school and the fact that I graduated from there. Even though I couldn’t find a video specially about the 2017 Alumni Sports Day, here is one that showcases Andy Lowe and his water polo team:
