Suffield Academy Alumni Soccer (2018)
Note: this was written in August 2024 to recreate a post which was lost. All of my old computers, Google Drive, Facebook, etc. were all searched for context, but only what was shown below was able to be recovered. I will try to add some details, but as my memories have faded, this may well be all that I have left of that moment in time.

The 2018 Suffield Academy Alumni Sports Day
I was blessed once again to be able to take one of my sons to see the school grounds for the first time, this time the younger one. He was quite a good soccer player himself!
We showed up late and weren’t pictured in the team photograph, but we still had a nice time watching and cheering on both teams.
Bonus content: I used to have most of my classes in the Memorial Building. During the 2017 Alumni Sports Day visit it was only the bricks on the front that were still up, being supported by wood ‘stilts’ [I can’t find the picture I took]. Anyway, the new building looks great! Also, the town of Suffield usually has their Suffield on the Green and Craft Fair during the same weekend as the alumni game. It really is quite large and almost shares the same space as the school as the school is on the main green as well. I’m only including one photo of it as it will be similar to every other craft market in existence.
“Memorial Building first opened in 1854. The entire building (with the exception of the façade facing Main Street) was demolished and rebuilt in July 2017. The new 45,000 square-foot Memorial Building reopened in September 2019”
I’m very proud of this school and the fact that I graduated from there. Even though I couldn’t find a video specially about the 2018 Alumni Sports Day, here is one that showcases a game the varsity team played and won the week after. The video itself is from an opposing teams camera and on their grounds:
