Leafin’18 - Green & White Mountains
Note, this was written in July 2024 to recreate a post which was lost. Old computer(s), Google Drive, Facebook, etc. were all searched for context, but not much was able to be recovered. We will try to add some details, but as our memories have faded, this may well be all that we have left of that moment in time.
For the time being, I’m probably only going to post pictures and add stories later.

“Ann Story, with help from her son Solomon, spied for Ethan Allen during the Revolutionary War. The sculpture features them peering from a doorway, an ax in Solomon’s hands and alert looks on their faces as they gaze in opposite directions.”

I didn’t get the Red Large Growler on this visit, but I do have one now! Also, this was probably right before I discovered New England IPAs because I was drinking their UFO White, a wheat beer, in the gallery below. It is a solid choice [my favorite from 2016-2018], but not my go-to nowadays.
4:20 PM, Friday, 19 October 2018When coming over to the White Mountains from Vermont, there are only so many option, the best one took us past Brick Store, the country’s oldest ‘general store,’ where we had visited back in 2014.
Also, the neighboring Bath Covered Bridge is right there…
